July doldrums officially cancelled: it’s time to drink wine! Introducing Domaine de la Petite Cassagne, headed by the inestimable Dianne du Puymorin. After completing a degree in agronomy, Dianne purchased an old winery deep in Saint Giles, deep within the Southern Rhône and started shaking things up, applying her limitless ambition to the sleepy appellation of Costeaux de Nimes. Thirty years later, she’s become a pillar of the community and helped shape its future; advocating for mapping the region’s unique terroir, developing a cru system, championing traditional viticulture, and leading the charge to biodynamics on her over 50 hectares of vineyards, all of which are fully demeter certified.

The terroir of Domaine de le Petite Cassagne hinges on two critical factors. The first is the spring Mistral winds which whip down from the North in the spring and cut through the heat and incipient chaleur, lending vigor and energy to the wines. The second factor is the soils, made up of the same galets roules that define Chateauneuf de Pape. Locally, these are only found around St. Giles and Dianne areis a big believer in their potential for elevated winemaking, going so far as to advocate for a sub-appellation based on their presence. These stones accelerate the ripening process, hold moisture in the soil and prevent wind-based erosion. Together, these two factors develop phenolic ripeness and complexity and are a true boon to biodynamic viticulture, cutting disease pressure, and ensuring healthy harvests.
But it’s not all rocks and winds folks — the domaine has the juice. The wines from Domaine de la Petite Cassagne possess a depth and vibrancy that would be surprising at twice the price. As they stand now, the wine quality to price ratio is shocking – which, let’s face it, it’s really nice in 2026 to have reverse sticker shock once in a while. You should, whoever you are, taste them. We think you’ll love them — we certainly do!

We’re so thrilled to welcome @domainedelarealtiere to the Coeur portfolio. When speaking to fans of the domaine the number one sentiment that gets expressed is “why the hell isn’t everyone in Provence making wines like this?” This is, of course, beyond the remit of this sales pitch to address. Certainly, Pierre and Sylvia think the answer is easy: they’re those type of “wine is made in the vineyard” chad-vignerons that just radiate calm and poise.
They’ve got a point – the vineyards are stunning; dry farmed, gobelet trained and tough: they’ve been organic since Pierre’s father’s days in the early 1990s and demeter-certified biodynamic since 2011. The estate’s focus is solidly on ancient and local varieties – Ugni Blanc, Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah, but there’s a few surprises as well, including a Carignan Blanc parcel that’s pushing 100 years old and some new experimental plantings of Nebbiolo that seem
poised to make a lot of people very happy and very very confused in a few years.

Domaine de la Realtiere has been, to us, the gold standard of natural Provence for years and we are absolutely besides ourself with joy being able to bring these into your hands. Get ready, summer is going to be 😎.

It wouldn’t be spring without a drop from @enric_soler, our xarello whisperer in the Penedes, and what a treat, the 2024 vintage is outrageously good. It was a very interesting vintage in Penedes – marked both by the interminable drought and immoderate rainfall – a dry and dusty winter that exploded into a springtime torpor and a summer of extremes.
On our end, we can confidently report that this release is the best Enric’s wines have tasted this early – there’s a real thirst-slaying edge to this vintage; a sense of joy that suffuses and a generosity that hopefully makes all the stress of the vintage worth it. These are beautiful wines, no two words about it.
They will be, we feel, ideal introductions to Enric’s work, which is good because have a minuscule amount left - please do reach out to your favorite Coeur rep, and quickly!

We heard you all like orange wine, so we asked our friend Chris Brockway to make us the best one possible. Please welcome Semina, from the Italian “to Plant,” our newest collaboration and one that we’re crazy proud of. It’s an Organic Cal-Ital orange crusher entirely from the sublime Fox Hill Vineyard in Mendocino. 75% Cortese with 25% Arneis and even better than we could have hoped, and we over here at Coeur Wine always try to dream big. Picture a wine that chemically activates the “we should drink this on a rooftop” part of your brain, while also impairing the (useless) email cortex. It’s kind of hack to say it’s summer in a bottle so we’ll just leave some hints and insist you taste and let you draw your own conclusions

In the realm of natural burgundies, few winemakers command as much esteem as Marc Soyard, the winemaker behind both domaine de la Cras and, his micro-negoce project Tercet. For the first time, we’ve got enough Tercet to justify offering it out on its own, and we couldn’t be happier to show off what Marc does with diverse terroirs.

These are Burgundy like we wish we could always drink – vibrant and living and redolent of earth. The wines are intense and sublime, beautiful in a hollow-hill or fairy-circle way. They are the sort of wines that accidentally become the centerpiece of a conversation, rather than a mute accompaniment, especially with the unwinding of air or age.
